Jeroboam had sent an ambush around to come upon them from behind. Thus his troops were in front of Judah, and the ambush was behind them. And when Judah looked, behold, the battle was in front of and behind them. And they cried to the Lord, and the priests blew the trumpets. Then the men of Judah raised the battle shout. And when the men of Judah shouted, God defeated Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. The men of Israel fled before Judah, and God gave them into their hand. (I Chronicles 13:13-16 ESV)
Surrounded
It seemed that Judah was surrounded by Israel’s army. Soldiers in front, soldiers behind.
But God’s people in Judah did the right thing. They called out to the Lord… and they worshiped.
That indicated that the people of Judah knew that while the rebel army of Israel surrounded them, GOD surrounded the rebel army of Israel!
It’s like a donut.
God surrounds your troubles, too.
Because the context of EVERYTHING is Jesus the Christ.
He surrounds your financial troubles. He surrounds your relationship issues. He surrounds your health problems.
And He always wins from that position.
