God is Infinite-- Hearing
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17 ESV)
It took far too long, but I have finally heard what the medical people in my life have been saying for years. I’m old, and if I want to be older, I must take care of my physical body.
My wife, my friends, my doctors, my nurses have all attempted to teach me this. But I did not choose to hear them.
They spoke to me with audible words, with written words, and with expressive facial expressions… but I did not hear.
But now I am trying to make some changes.
Faith begins, not with a gut feeling, but with hearing.
Understanding God begins, not with internal analysis, but with hearing.
My connection with God’s infinity begins, not with contemplation, but with hearing.
Not just any hearing… hearing God’s Word. Hearing Jesus Christ. Hearing the Holy Spirit. Hearing of the Father’s love.
Hearing matters.
