We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19 ESV)

Love does not usually really need a ‘because.’ While me might LIKE something for particular reasons, love is a choice that is made unconditionally. Or it simply is not love.
If I love a person because of their personality, what will happen when, over time, the personality changes?
If I love a person because of physical appearance, what will happen when their appearance changes?
If a person loves me for ANY particular reason, what will happen what that reason is no longer present?
But we can not love GOD until His love changes our heart first.
He loves us unconditionally, and we respond by loving Him.
Woven by necessity into that fabric is Grace, Mercy, and the person and work of Christ Jesus.
But it all starts with HIM loving.
