Jude III
And have mercy on those who doubt. (Jude 22 ESV)
Doubters
Strangely, we are often proud of our faith. We act as if our faith, our trust, our abandonment of doubting God, is something that we did through strength of will, intelligence, or integrity.
When in fact, faith is a gift.
And those who have not received that gift do not deserve the derision we often impose on them.
“Strangers are friends we haven’t met yet,” said Will Rogers, supposedly.
Maybe we can see doubters as, “those who haven’t believed YET.”
I hope they are.
